From the Theater’s Biography
1952 – 1952 – USSR State Award for the performance "Alesha Peshkov" (the play by I. Gruzdev and O. Forsh);
1957 – First Degree Diploma of Russian Festival of Theaters for Children and Youth (Moscow);
1968 – RSFSR State Award for the performance "The Tale About Distant and Near Future" (the play by G. Akulov);
1969 – the theater was awarded the medal "Order of Badge of Honor";
1979 – Saratov youth Theater successfully presented Soviet children theater at the International Festival of Theaters for Children and Youth (Lyon, France). The performance "Sausage, Botsman and the Others" (the play by Larisa Zakoshanskaya);
1984 – Order of Lenin awarded to the USSR People’s Actor Yu. P. Kiselev – the main stage director of Saratov Youth Theater.
1996 – tour to Riga (Theater of Russian Drama).
Participation into the International Festival of Children Theaters dedicated to the memory of Yanush Korchak (Warsaw, Poland). The performance on the play by W. Gibson "She, who Created a Miracle" (the director - RF People’s Actort Yu. Osherov) became an important event of the Festival. The show was performed twice during the Festival, was recorded and broadcasted on the National TV.
1997 – participation in the 37-th International Festival of Theaters for Children in Shibenik (Croatia), tours in Zagreb (Croatia). Participation in Russian Festival of Theaters for Children "Real Theater " (Yekaterinburg).
On the 2d of October, 1998 in honor of its 80th Anniversary the first Youth Theater in Russia – Saratov Kiselev Youth Theater got an honorary title "Academic ".
1999 – participation in the festival of Russian Arts in Tunis.
May, 2001 – tours to Riga (Latvia).
September, 2001 - participation in the festival "On the Shore" in Burgas (Bulgaria).
During the summer of 2003 the First Povolzhie Kiselev Festival of Theaters for Children took place in the Saratov Theater "From A to Z ".
During the summer of 2004 in Rome, the capital of Italy, Kiselev Youth Theater was presented by the performance "A Servant to Two Masters" based on the play by a famous Italian playwright C. Goldoni.
2004 – the theater got the Prize of Rolan Bykov Foundation "For Faithfulness to Great Art and Little Spectators ", as the best children’s theater in Russia.
2005 – the performance "The eternal Husband " participated in the VIII Russian Festival "Real Theater" (Yekaterinburg).
2006 – the II-nd International Theater Festival of Sister Cities "Podmoskovnye Nights" According to the decision of judges of a contest the grand prize got the performance "The Italian Marriage" of Saratov academic Kiselev youth Theater.
Since 2006 according to the initiative of a famous theater critic Oleg Laevsky an experimental project has been taken place in the Saratov Theater – a creative laboratory of contemporary drama "The Fourth Height".
2007 – the performance "The Frozen Heart" directed by Yu. Osherov was presented on the IV Russian Festival of Theater Art for Children "Harlequin". (St. Petersburg).
2007-2008 - A creative action "The Return of the Blue Bird". The Grant of the Saratov Region Governor.
October 5-6, 2007 - The All-Russian Forum "Art of Russia for Children" was held in Saratov
May 2008 – participation in IX International Theater Festival "Rainbow".
September 2008 – participation in VIII International Festival-laboratory of theaters for children "The Gold Turnip" (Samara).
September 2008 – participation in the Second International Theater Festival of performances for children "Guttersnipe" (Moscow).
2008 (September 26 - October 4) – the Second Povolzhie Kiselev Festival of Theaters for Children "From A to Z", dedicated to the 90th Anniversary of the foundation of the first professional Youth Theater in the World.
October 2008 – tours onto USA (Virginia) with the performances "The Humpbacked Horse", the play by P. Ershov and "The Uncle’s Dream", the play based on the novel by F. Dostoevsky.
October 2008 - participation in the Moscow International Televisional-Theater Festival "Good luck! Young Force of Art(Moscow-Volga region)".
